Galt & Taggart Held a Thematic Conference on the Tourism Sector and Presented a New Investment Research
Galt & Taggart hosted a thematic conference focused on Georgia’s tourism sector and presented a new investment research report. The study analyzes both the current state of the tourism industry and its growth prospects and existing challenges.
Key players from the tourism sector, investors, representatives from international financial institutions, and public sector officials took part in the conference.
Galt & Taggart’s presentation placed particular emphasis on:
- The dynamics of tourism recovery and hotel industry performance indicators;
- A comparative analysis of tourism trends in Georgia and peer countries;
- An assessment of tourist behavior and preferences in emerging markets, particularly China and India;
- Sectoral needs in light of the planned supply of new hotel rooms.
According to the research, Georgia’s tourism sector currently lacks experience in working with new Asian markets. There is insufficient knowledge about the interests, spending structure, and service demands of tourists from these regions. In response, Galt & Taggart introduced, for the first time, detailed tourist profiles from these markets, their specific spending behaviors, and strategic recommendations for businesses.
The event concluded with a panel discussion, during which private sector representatives discussed key issues related to tourism development.
“In-depth sectoral analysis and supporting investors in making informed decisions is our core mission. This tourism conference serves that purpose—we believe such events are vital for both analytical and practical guidance. We especially highlight the behavioral analysis of new markets and the opportunities that adapted tourism products can create in Georgia,” said Giorgi Kuprashvili, CEO of Galt & Taggart.
