Galt & Taggart held an educational conference in Armenia on September 23 as part of the Capital Markets Support Program (CMS). The conference was held with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union, in collaboration with Ameria Management Advisory. The meeting was dedicated to discussing ESG instruments needed for capital market development.
The event discussed:

• Features of ESG-related instruments;
• How the green bond market works;
• Standard bond issuance procedures;
• Post-issuance requirements and reporting.

The goal of the Capital Markets Support Program is to develop more efficient and self-sufficient local capital markets in Armenia. The program includes educational and advisory support and access to financing, including coordination with the Central Bank of Armenia and the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

“The Galt & Taggart team is proud that we have successfully implemented the Capital Market Support Program in Georgia in recent years, and now we are implementing the program in Armenia. The main goal of the program is to increase the availability of alternative financing sources in the Armenian capital market and attract the interest of corporate issuers. This is possible through co-financing of issuance costs for local companies, sharing experience and providing various consulting services,” says Tamta Gorgadze, Head of Consulting at Galt & Taggart.
