Galt & Taggart Deputy CEO Ketevan Toidze shared Galt & Taggart’s experience at a conference on capital markets and investments in Armenia. Power Consulting Days: Alternative Investments in Armenia is Armenia’s leading professional development program dedicated to sharing regional experiences and discussing best practices in the field of capital markets and investment strategies.
The conference covered three main areas, namely:
• Capital Markets: Investment Strategies and Instruments;
• Private Markets: Family Businesses and Equity Investments;
• Ways to Invest in Innovative Startups.
In the first module, which was dedicated to capital markets investment strategies and tools, Galt & Taggart Deputy General Director Ketevan Toidze reviewed the history of Galt & Taggart’s development as a leading investment bank in Georgia and shared regional experience and practices in the direction of capital markets development. A significant part of her presentation was devoted to the Capital Markets Support (CMS) program in Armenia, which the company is implementing with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union.
The CMS program aims to:
• Raise awareness of capital markets through educational mechanisms;
• Facilitate access to capital markets for private companies through a co-financing mechanism;
• Activate corporate issuers in the Armenian capital market.
