The Georgia Tourism Summit, Tourister, was held in Batumi on February 21-22. The event was dedicated to tourism sustainability issues and brought together dozens of speakers from Georgia and other countries.
The event was attended by members of the investment bank, Galt & Taggart, who shared important findings on the dynamics of the tourism sector in 2024 and expectations for 2025 with individuals employed in the tourism and hospitality sector, including senior managers and business owners.
The Tourism Review 2024-2025 was presented by Tatia Mamrikishvili, Head of the Research Department, while Zurab Tavkelishvili, Associate at Galt & Taggart, reviewed the hospitality and real estate industry of Batumi.
Tourister is an annual event that serves to understand global tourism trends and local processes. It combines panel discussions, workshops and speeches on various aspects of tourism.
Representatives of global platforms Booking.com, AirDNA and other organizations participated in the Georgian Tourism Summit. In addition, Tornike Samadashvili, Owner of Digital Products at the Bank of Georgia, reviewed domestic tourism trends and the opportunities of an Ads Manager at the event.
