Otari Sharikadze

Otari Sharikadze

Prior to joining Bank of Georgia Corporate Advisory in August 2014, Otari served as Chief Investment Officer at Partnership Fund, a Georgian state-owned private equity fund. Previously, he worked as an Associate at Arjil – Altium Capital, a Paris-based investment bank. While at Arjil, he participated in numerous transactions throughout Eastern and Western Europe. Otari has also worked at HSBC in Paris. Otari holds a master’s degree in Corporate Finance from Paris Graduate School of Management and a master’s degree in Economics from Pantheon-Sorbonne University. 

Irakli Kirtava

General Director

Irakli was appointed General Director of Galt & Taggart in 2000. He has held senior positions at various brokerage and investment companies. Irakli was a supervisory board member of the Georgian Stock Exchange and the Georgian Central Securities Depository and served as the Chariman of the Board of the Georgian Securities industry Association. Irakli is a member of editorial groups for several books on the securities market as well as a co-author of the Capital Markets Development Concept, developed in May 2013. Irakli also has extensive experience with the lawmaking process. 

Goga Melikidze

Head of Brokerage

Prior to joining Galt & Taggart in October 2015 as Head of Brokerage, Goga served as CEO at Smartex, the leading early stage/VC investment holding in Georgia. Before joining Smartex, Goga spent two years as Country Director for Georgia at MAREXIN, an innovative oil & gas exploration company. Prior to MAREXIN, Goga worked at Galt & Taggart as Senior Financial Analyst and later as DCM Managing Director. In 2007-2009, Goga worked in the Prime Minister’s Office of the Government of Georgia, serving as Senior Economic Advisor to two successive Prime Ministers of Georgia.
Goga completed executive education programs in Private Equity from Harvard Business School and in M&A from London Business School. Goga received his bachelor’s degree with honors in Economics and Finance from Caucasus School of Business.

 

Nino Papava

Nino Papava

Head of Investment Research

Prior to joining Galt & Taggart in September 2014, Nino was the Deputy Director, Finance and Administration, at the International School of Economics (ISET) in Tbilisi. Previously, she served as the Financial Operations Manager at AdGooroo, a Chicago-based technology startup. Over her six-year tenure, Nino was instrumental in the company’s growth from a startup to an industry authority, which was acquired by Kantar media of WPP.
Nino holds a BA from the University of Indianapolis, with a double major in International Business and Music. She is currently enrolled in the Executive MBA program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Alim Hasanov

Alim Hasanov

Economist

Prior to joining Bank of Georgia Group in October 2013, Alim worked as an Economist at the World Bank. Previously, he was an Economist at the Turkish Industry and Business Association in Istanbul, Turkey.
Alim holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Sabanci University (Istanbul, Turkey) and a BA degree from the Bogazici (Bosphorus) University (Istanbul, Turkey) with a double major in Economics and International Relations.

Eva Bochorishvili

Eva Bochorishvili

Economist

Prior to joining Bank of Georgia Group in March 2014 as an economist covering Georgia, Eva worked at Georgia's Finance Ministry on EU-sponsored reforms based budget support programs, liaised with bilateral and multilateral development institutions and oversaw the implementation of the US$ 4.5bn donor-pledged funds. Eva is a guest lecturer in public finance at University of Georgia. She holds MA in economics from Bowling Green State University in the US and Tbilisi State University.

David Matsaberidze

David Matsaberidze

Head of Wealth Management

Prior to joining Bank of Georgia in 2011, David worked for 5 years at bank Republic (part of the Société Générale Group) as Head of Corporate Banking and Head of the VIP Service Centre. He has also worked for Selby Insurance as Chairman of the Board of Directors and as Deputy CEO for Aldagi Insurance Co. 
David holds master’s degrees in International Law from Tbilisi State University and Business Administration from Caucasus School of Business and has completed the Programme for Leadership Development from Harvard Business School. 

Ekaterine Liluashvili

Ekaterine Liluashvili

Head of International Business

Prior to her appointment as Head of International Business in March 2015, Ekaterine served as Senior Private Banker at Bank of Georgia. Prior to joining Bank of Georgia in 2008, Ekaterine worked at Bank Republic (part of the Société Générale Group) as Private Banker at the VIP Service Centre. 
Ekaterine holds a degree in Banking from Berufsakademie Mosbach, Germany, with a specialization in private banking, and a bachelor’s degree in Business administration from the European School of Management Tbilisi.
